Trouble loading .dll in MC23
« on: December 12, 2017, 06:02:26 am »

Hi
Total newbie with MC23, so please be kind ;)
I have tried to install VSTconvolver and Fabfilter, via the manage plugin in the DSP studio, but keep getting "failed to load .dll" . I believe I have pointed at the correct .dll files in /system/programs(x86) directory (danish version of WIN10 so the names are different for the directories)

Another thing I keep getting noise and interrupted audio when I use ASIO drivers, no matter if it is ASIO4ALL or ASIO for audio widget or ASIO for miniDSP. All of these drivers works flawlessly in Foobar2000.

In case of the miniDSP when I try to make measurements with REW and use JRiver as output for REW (and miniDSP as output device here, ASIO or WASAPI, doesn't matter) the microphone input to REW is not working. If I use another soundcard as MIC input, no problem. And If I use REW with direct connection to miniDSP the microphone input is working ...

I wouldn't recommend using ASIO4ALL, as it's just a Kernel Streaming wrapper. If you have access to a true ASIO driver for your sound card/DAC/onboard audio, I'd use that instead.

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from "male enhancements" and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.

Well all of the drivers I used , generic ASIO written to the hardware included, and WASAPI did not work correctly, so it is not just ASIO4ALL

Sorry WASAPI did work in some cases.

If you're using the 64 bit version of MC, you need 64 bit drivers.  There is also a 32 bit version of MC available.

Make sure you are using 64-bit plug-ins if you're running the 64-bit version of Media Center. Those won't be in the (x86) directory.
Media Center has its own convolution engine built in, so there's no need for a plug-in to do that.
Not sure what would be causing your ASIO issues.
