Problems ripping CD's - use AIFF encoder for MC22

My MC22 is fully updated.  Haven't ripped CD's for several months but have begun to add CD's to my collection.  It began with an occasional "encoding error" and I would re-record that track at the end.  The problem has gotten worse and I just ripped a new/unused CD and 16 of 20 tracks encountered "encoding errors".

Any help is greatly appreciated.

As a test, try ripping the same CD to FLAC.  You could convert it later if needed.
