WDM driver problem: Can't see JRiver device in Sound Menu
« on: January 07, 2018, 12:14:58 pm »

Hello,

i'd like to use JRiver for Spotify and other sources (youtube, etc...). I read the forum and decide to install WDM Driver as explain in the Wiki : https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/WDM_Driver

"How to Set up the WDM Driver

    WDM Driver Set Default.png
In versions of Media Center after 20.0.95 the WDM driver is disabled by default. To enable it go to Options-->General-->Features and check WDM Driver. Then restart Media Center and the driver will install.
Once the driver is installed, go to the windows control panel, and then to the Sound menu item. You should see all of the Audio devices on your system listed. Select the one labelled JRiver Media Center 20 and click the Set Default button at the bottom of the menu as shown to the right. "

My problem is that no JRiver device appears in the sound menu...

I reinstall JRiver but the problem is still there...

Can you help me ?

Thanks !

Fred

My configuration:
A recent Laptop Inspiron Dell, Windows 10,  HiFace external audio card (USB), I hear Qobuz, (and Spotify if I can...) I use JRiver Convolve with a RePhase file

I'm having the same issue on my Surface Book w/Windows 10: WDM driver is enabled in JRiver, output set to USB 2.0 High-Speed True Speed HD Audio (WASAPI), but no JRiver WDM Driver available as a Playback Device.  I'm running JRiver 23.0.91. Suggestions to correct would be appreciated. Thanks

I don't work for JRiver... I help keep the forums safe from Viagra and other sources of sketchy pharmaceuticals.

Not tried yet, but it works fine without security problem with older version: Media Center 22.0.110...

Thanks
