DVD Playback - No Video, Only Sound

I'm using the JRiver 23, 32 bits.

When I play a DVD from my external drive, NO PICTURE, SOUND ONLY.

I circled the DVD with another application, VLC, which worked perfectly.

I have same problem.
Ripped DVD also.
How should I manage this problem?

Details would be useful ... like windows version ... GPU and driver version .. MC version ... running RO standard or HQ?

How do I check "RO standard or HQ"?

if u asking ... likely Red October Standard (Tools -> Options -> Video -> Video Mode) ... I had similar issue when updated to 1709 (but it was for all 2D stuff ... regardless of their stored location ... in my case ... the update was causing black screen when I ran exclusive screen mode in RO HQ)

how about stuff located on internal HDD? no pictures also?

Video mode is Red October Standard.
Ripped DVDs on internal HDD also black screen.

I changed video mode from Red October Standard to Red October HQ.
It works correctly.

now THAT is strange ... RO standard not working but RO HQ working ... never saw that one ... but as long as its working :)

Just had the same experience - Red October HQ brought up the ripped DVD video.
I can dump my speccy (sysinfo done right) here if you want. IS there a JRiver config dump?
