I have an old laptop windows pc with jriver pointed at a NAS

I also have a Linux nuc in my main system pointed at the same nas.

My favorite way to run is using the laptop playing on the nuc.

Would it be better (sound or technically) to use the laptop solely as a control point for the NUC?

Sounds great, either way.
