swapping to 64 bit version
« on: February 03, 2018, 09:34:19 pm »

I am running the 32 bit verion MC93 I guess because there is nothing to identify it as 64 bit? Can I switch to 64 bit using the same windows licence? Advantages of the 64 bit version?

G'Day David,

MC is currently on version 23, rather than 93. The latest Public version is MC23.0.96.

Regarding 64bit, search is your friend. There has been a lot of discussion, and that exact question was asked just yesterday.

Search for "64bit" and show the most recent threads using the Advanced Search function. Have a look at all the threads!

Particularly the first two:

Help - About Media Center will say 23.0.xx (64 bit) if you are running 64 bit version. For 32 bit, it just lists the version number.

The MC23 license covers both 32 and 64 bit versions.
