MC 9.017 spontaneously dumped registration info
« on: June 17, 2003, 10:16:50 am »

I've been out of town for several days, so absolutely nothing about my PC has changed.  Yet today when I opened MC it informed me that I had 27 days left on my 30 day trial.

BTW, the title bar on the pop-up still said MJ.

When I first installed MC9 (right after release) it correctly carried over my MJ8 license.  Why it chose to spontaneously dump my registration info I can't guess...

I'll use another restore (I think it will only be my third), but the point is I shouldn't have to.  Except for this minor blip - oh, and another, my MC always opens minimized??? - MC9 is my favorite program.  Great work.

you can go to the restore page, it should restore if your MJ8 license qualified for A MC9 Upgrade.

Mine Worked When i reinstalled MC9 last week

This also happened to mine. I have used I think 3 restores now. This really needs to be fixed. At this rate, I won't be able to use it after another couple of months. And btw, why do the licenses expire? Those of us who do a lot of reinstalls of Windows are really put out by this "feature".

Any ideas on how to get my license back without burning another restore?
