Syncing JRiver across two Macs
« on: January 23, 2018, 12:55:07 pm »

Not sure if this is possible. I have a master licence.

I have a iMac as a desktop set up in my study with my media stored on a NAS.

What I'd like to do is add a Mac mini in the living room running headlessly.

Would one need to be a server and one a client or is it possible to run JRiver on both and sync them (so if you change something on one, it changes the other)?

Thanks in advance.

Two clients can connect to one Library Server.

If you have authentication set on the server, then the first client connecting can update the data on the server.  The second is read only.

Thanks Jim.

There'll only be two Macs so it sounds like what I want to do should be achievable.

So I need to set up one Mac as a server and one as a client - is there a wiki about how to go about it?
