DLNA server does not work with Sony Blu-Ray renderer

<< < (2/3) > >>

JimH:
Is Media Network turned on?

BryanC:
Yes, it is turned on. In fact I use Gizmo to connect to my Linux MC servers without any issues. I also have the DLNA settings enabled.

bob:
You do know that DLNA servers past a certain number need to be enabled on Sony DLNA renderers in their settings, right?

If the Linux one doesn't show up you may have to enable it and that means if you are at the max number of servers Sony supports (which is a pretty small number) you would have to disable one of the existing server entries.

Zhillsguy:
I have noticed more than once that on the MC server all boxes (Server, Renderer, Controller) may need to be checked for proper DLNA control, at least initially.

This may apply to both Win and Linux MC. I can't replicate this error, therefore never reported it. When it happened (MC to MC, MC to Volumio), I never got audio out, and the renderer would "play" a few seconds of each track in the list (no audio). The only cure was selecting all options for DLNA control on the server for it to work (at least initially).

But that would not explain why the op can see the renderer in his Windows MC instance?
