Horrible sound quality

Shrubwalker:
When playing music through media center, the quality sounds horrible.  Barely any bass, tingy high end and sounds super muffled.  Had to stop using media center and going to spotify. 
Any ideas how to fix?

Sure.  Please describe your setup and your audio settings.

RD James' recommendation is good.  Remove all DSP Studio settings and start over.
