Date of album vs date of songs
« on: February 06, 2018, 05:43:13 pm »

Is there a way to specify the date of the album release while retaining the different dates for each of the tracks? Whenever I specify a date (say, 2002) for a compilation of 70's music, all the tracks end up being dated 2002 too, even though after ripping they show the actual release date of each track.

In your example, I stick the album date at the end of the album name, same for reissues the reissue date goes at the end of the album name while the original date is in date field; but a lot of folk do not like that cluttering / mutilating the album name.

Yes, I have been adding the release date at the end of the title. If I want to use the tag "Release Date" where do I find it? It is not in General tags. How do I show all the other tagging options/fields?
