Selecting Rogue Amoeba’s Loopback In MC
« on: February 04, 2018, 03:13:11 pm »

I am trying to play Spotify through the latest MC for Mac. I have been told I can do it by using Rogue Amoeba’s Audio Hijack to capture the output from Spotify, set Hijacks output to Rogue Amoeba’s Loopback and then set MC’s input to Loopback. It all seems to work up until I try to configure MC to use Loopback. I can’t find an input setting in MC. Can somebody help point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
John

Since it's been a few days with no replies maybe it can't be done? I'm not tied Rogue Amoeba, are there other ways of accomplishing this on Mac?

I guess I should also explain why I want to play Spotify and others through MC- I am using MC's DSP to do Parametric Equalization and it makes a big difference in the sound quality in my listening space.

I also don't know if Rogue Amoeba's apps would diminish the sound quality in anyway. I use an iFi micro iDAC2 between the Mac mini and a Marantz AV receiver and it sounds darn good.

Thanks,
John
