MC no longer works after installing High Sierra [Solved]

JimH:
Did you do the Audio setup?

mwgraves10:
I have been through the JRiver audio setup menu and the MacOS midi-audio setup to confirm everything matches my setup. It does. Also, if there was something wrong in either of those, would it play the first song after a search? And why does it crash when switching to the next song? If I provide the crash logs, can anyone at JRiver get anything out of those?

Awesome Donkey:
Can you show a screenshot of your MC Tools menu > Options... > Audio section? Thanks.

Also random thought, have you tried disabling Integer mode? You can do this by going to MC's Options > Audio > clicking on Device settings... and unchecking Integer mode (and then restart MC, just in case).

Take heart, I expect the experts here will be able to help you.  I have an older MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.3 and have no issues with music playback with MC 23 ver 90, or earlier versions for that matter.

I think I've stumbled onto the solution. I did check the integer setting in the setup and that was already deselected. However, it occurred to me that MC might not have liked the change in file system. Since I'm running an SSD drive, the High Sierra install defaulted to their new file system. I hooked up a WD external on the USB port, formatted it to exFAT and copied my library onto that. I've been listening to music for the last hour in shuffle mode and it hasn't crashed yet. I do appreciate all the suggestions. I'll be checking out DVD rippers now.
