I recently installed the MC 23 on my HTPC. I am trying to use WASAPI. I understand that with WASAPI the HTPC sound driver is bypassed. However what I have noticed that if the source is playing 5.1 movie and the Windows Sound is set on 7.1 the MC cannot play the movie. Same if the Windows sound is set on 5.1 and the movie is 7.1. Once they match, no issues with the MC.
I have been using MC since MC 18 and never had this issue before. If I use Direct Sound, the problem disappear. Am I missing something or is something wrong with my settings?
