Playback Problem
« on: February 21, 2018, 03:53:47 pm »

With all settings the tracks always start twice, it seems to me a buffering problem. Have you a solution with settings?

The track re-start exactly when it arrive to the amount of pre-buffering; specially on track change. I

Hi, perhaps I've found a solution (but a bug too).
Yesterday after many tests I saw that using  "load full album in memory" the playback has the defect of restart twice after amount of pre-buffer setting (2-4-6-... seconds).
Instead using the function "load full track decoded" (but not "load full track not decoded") there is no problem.
The problem, I seems to me, is like JRiver, loading full album in memory and loading pre-buffering, reads the track twice: before the pre-bufferng data after the loaded data. This, particularly, during the track change!

Perhaps, if possible, you should set up that when setting "load full album decoded in memory" or it is set off pre-buffering or it is possible setting it at zero.

Make sure you're using the latest MC 23.0.102 build found here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,114375.0.html

How is the DAC connected?  USB?

Who made the driver?  Try WASAPI, Direct Show, and ASIO if available.

Full version of MC.  23.0.90 for example.

it is MC 23.0.102.

The DAC is connected via USB with Hi Quality cable (Audioquest).

I tried all driver and settings. The only one that works is "Load full file decoded".

I would have preferred "Load full album decoded"; I think it is better for HD hardware (it works once) but, I repeat, it works in contrast with pre-buffering.

If I set pre-buffering 2s the file restart after 2s, 4s it restart after 4s and so on.

I suggest, if the user sets "Load full album decoded" it was possible to set pre-buffering at 0.

Thanks and kind regards.

P.S.
For the rest , the software works very well, congratulations!

I can't reproduce any problem with the pre-buffering and loading the full album.

Loading the full album happens before playback even starts, so it shouldn't affect the pre-buffering at all.

It might be worth trying an uninstall and reinstall of the latest just to rule out install issues.  You might also uninstall your anti-virus software as a test.
