Set up wireless operation for Id Pi
« on: March 03, 2018, 07:41:15 am »

After much stumbling around in the dark, I eventually got my Id Pi to work :D but only when connected by Ethernet cable.

How do I activate the wireless operation of the Id Pi? There must be a way of logging in wirelessly to my network.

In case it is relevant, my wireless network is healthy with a number of components working perfectly and I am using a brand new Raspberry Pi 3 Model B which has never been used for anything else.

Please keep technical jargon to a minimum or you will confuse me even more.

You can switch to wireless, by using option #13 on the text menu.  That brings up wicd, the network manager utility.

Check wireless in wicd, then click on properties.

Select your wireless network, then at the bottom, select WPA 1/2 (Passphrase) and enter your wireless passphrase.
