[Feature Request] Re-integration of Streaming Services
MrGrymReaper:
Hi,
Currently you mention on your website that you have Netflix support, later I read it was removed as the API it used was closed (Public). Is it possible for you with JRiver Media Center 24 to enter into a partnership with Netflix so that support can be re-added back in?
Keep up the good work!!
Thanks,
MrGrymReaper

Would entail immense licensing costs. I honestly doubt it.
MC does have a built-in web browser. While it lacks an address bar for site navigation, you can configure the pre-set links to include Netflix the web site. This can also be done in theatre view.
Only draw-back is that the browser cannot, at this time, be put in full screen, nor am I aware of any way for it to interface with your webcam or microphone.

Why? Which licensing?
Awesome Donkey:
Integrating streaming services like Netflix, if possible in the first place (Netflix is likely picky with companies they partner up with), would likely incur big licensing costs to include it in the software.
Hendrik:
On a purely personal note, I would be happy if that would be possible with Netflix, and would use it, even more so if we could run audio through MC without workarounds. A browser integration like some people got to work with Chromium can only do so much.
But unfortunately, that is very unlikely. I don't even think licensing costs would be a problem, Netflix only has to gain from more platforms including the ability for users to consume their content, however a direct integration would require proper cooperation and I would not expect Netflix to be open to that for something on a PC platform.
