Picture/Image management alternatives to Lightroom

Some of you use Adobe Lightroom to tag your pictures (or maybe ACDsee) ... then import tags to JRiver for sharing with family.

While both are nice ... i dont like the fact that they are single user ... aka multiple ppl cannot work on the catalogue at the same time ... so tagging falls to one person in family whoch is daunting

Alternatives are DAM (digital asset management) ... but those usually expensive. While researching topic i stumble upon 3 reasonably price ones Daminion,Photo Supreme, Imatch.

Any of you out there tried those?
