Uninstall Screw up.....how to fix?

I keep getting this loop in my log files....how do I kill it?

Are you running MC22 or MC23?  The service appears to be configured to start MC22, but it can't find MC22.  If you're running MC23 or MC24 change your service to autostart the correct version.

MonMul:
MC22...I tried to uninstall it...but there seems to be some hangover from the uninstall attempt!

Awesome Donkey:
Try systemctl stop jriver.service then systemctl disable jriver.service and finally systemctl remove jriver.service from a Terminal. It will prompt for your sudo/root password multiple times.

Thanks for that...it all worked apart from the last command..unknown operation 'remove'
