Does jriver report the actual content aspect ratio anywhere?
« on: April 04, 2018, 07:15:22 am »

I want to see a breakdown of aspect ratio of content in my library, the aspect ratio tag invariably says 16:9 though as I assume scope content is actually 16:9 (i.e. the black bars are part of the content).

Is there a way to make jriver report this info? If not, is there an external tool I can use to do this?

There is an Aspect Ratio field, but its only inconsistently populated. Never really went out of my way to figure out why.

that is the field I'm referring to, from a quick look this is populated for ~80% of the files in my library but is mostly set to 16:9 (even for things I know is scope)

Well it wouldn't know if it has hard-coded blackbars, it just reads file properties, doesn't try to analyze the image.

Is there any software that can do this or do I have it to do it manually?
