Did you remove the ~/.jriver directory as I suggested?

If so, run a strace on MediaCenter23 and email the result to bob (at) jriver (dot) com.

sudo apt-get install strace
strace -o /tmp/trace.out -f -s 256 mediacenter23

zip and email the /tmp/trace.out file.
