MC for OS-X won't talk with my 64GB micro-SD

I just bought a Sandisk 64GB micro SD card and MC won't synch any files to it.  I named the card and added it to devices.  Synching failed.  Then I reformatted the SD card from exFAT to FAT-32 and tried again, still no luck.  It claims to have synched the first file in the queue, then it says all other files are in error and stops.

Does anyone have any ideas?
