Just Upgraded to 24 for Windows. Won't Install
« on: April 19, 2018, 02:45:23 pm »

Whenever I try to install, an information window appears saying "Your license is for a different product".

I still have both 20 and 21 installed. Using Windows 10.

Help please, thanks.

Are you inputting the key when prompted to when starting Media Center 24 or using the .mjr license file that's included in the email? This kinda sounds like an issue with MC20 and/or MC21 having the file association for the .mjr license file. However, it also kinda sounds like you're trying to use the .mjr file to install Media Center 24, which is not possible because it's a license file not the actual program itself. If that's the case you can find the latest Media Center 24 build here: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,115332.0.html

But if this is a file association issue, the easiest way to probably do this is to open JRiver Media Center 24 directly from the Start Menu, then when it prompts for a license manually input the license file you got in your email (not the .mjr license file) and see if that registers it.

Many thanks, all sorted now. Sorry it's been a while since I last installed Media Center and I was mistaking the mjr file for an exe. Appreciate the quick answer.
