Panel in MC24

Make sure you have MC24.0.46 installed.

FYI, this shows up even if the sort on the view isn't alphabetical by title. For example, I have a view set to sort by Import Date. I want this so I see new things first. At the top of panel is the alpha slider, which makes no sense. It would be helpful if the slider was context aware and would change in this case to show me a date range.

I am not sure if this is the right place for this. If not, sorry. But I was having a problem starting a new thread.
A few weeks ago I was looking in the back end of Jirver. I may have pressed something by mistake because now, in the bottom right corner
or what I call the fancy view (where you watch movies) I have a little circle. No one else would know it there but it's really bothering me.
Has anybody ever heard of anything like that and how I can get rid of it?
Thanks

I need to ask as I've looked and searched without success.
Should I be able to see cover art in Panel for movies?
How about for season episodes for TV Series.?
I see cover art for Music (albums), For TV Series and for TV Seasons but that's it. No cover art for Movies or TV ep. under each season. Just lists of txt. Gizmo was much more appealing in these areas.
Is this how it's supposed to be? Am I missing a setting someplace that will turn on cover art for video content or are we txt lists only going forward?
Thanks,
Steve D.

By default, there really isn't a view that does this because videos aren't typically grouped into categories like 'album' so they usually just go right into list type views. You can modify a view to show cover art though. Go to Tools -> Options -> Media Network -> Advanced -> Customize views for JRemote, Gizmo & Panel... On the left side of the dialog that pops up, you can see the hierarchy JRemote, Gizmo, and Panel use. Toward the bottom, you should see a Movies category under Video. If you select Movies, on the right side you should see a box "Show Categories In This Order". Click on Add... next to it and select a field like 'Name'. Click OK once you're done to exit all the dialogs and restart Media Center. After restarting Media Center, the Movies view should then display cover art.

Went to Tools -> Options -> Media Network -> Advanced -> Customize views for JRemote, Gizmo & Panel and tried to change the layout for the audio section - moving Composer to the top of the list, then genre. Then added a files to display rule for composer to attempt to filter out all but the genre classical. Nothing changes in the panel view - under audio the old sequence is shown and every possible composer comes up under that section. Tried this on 24.0.56 and 24.0.58. No changes in JRemote either -what am I doing wrong???
