Distortion

When prebuffering the first track, sound is distorted. Then music plays normally. Is there any explanation ?

I played without integer mode and all was well. But previously, music was OK with integer mode on.
Does TEAC UD 501 really supports integer mode ?

Did it work correctly with an older version of MC? I thought integer mode would either work or not work at all.
