stuttering during audio playback
« on: August 05, 2018, 08:25:38 pm »

using MC 24.0.45, 64 bit through either jremote or panel to device playback to my ipad there is random stuttering during audio playback.

this was not an issue on MC 24.0.41 that i can recall.

also using Panel and Safari browser on my ipad with iOS version 11.4.1, only one song will play even though i select “play all”

chrome on the ipad does not have this problem.

MC 24.0.45, Windows 10 64 bit using panel and Safari browser on  my ipad IOS version 11.4.1 select play all, is playing all of the tracks on the selected album. But, the panel window in Safari must have the focus, close to the background or use the magnetic cover and playback of the next track waits for you to show the safari window again. No signs of stutter though.

Same happens with firefox on ipad. Chrome seems to play ok in the background, but not when the magnetic cover is closed. So the overall conclusion is - Panel works but not if it's focus is taken away. Unlike most other dedicated apps which play happily when they are backgrounded. This limits the use of the Panel feature since most people would want the music playing on the ipad while they are doing something else. Still haven't noticed any stutter though!

so far after upgrade and reboot i can't repeat this.  will update this thread if it occurs again.

(I suspect the reboot fixed it.  windows has proven often to simply need a reboot every so often to "clean up" things)

I also have the same problem, simply using JRiver 64bit in windows 10.
Temporarily I've downgraded to 24.0.41
