JRiver 24 and JRemote
« on: April 23, 2018, 05:29:01 pm »

Hi !
Since I made the update of JRiver 24, my JRemote on my mini IPad no longer wants to connect to my server.

I reset my mini IPad, my server, my modem and my LapTop, what did I forget?

      Thanks, Kaz

Turn off Media Network on the server and turn it back on.  You will get a new Access Key.

also be sure to allow jriver to accept incoming connections through your windows firewall

i was promoted to do this when running MC24 and jremote had no issues with the same key i have used for a while now

My set up for my dematerialized music is as follows, a LapTop (With JRiver) plugged into a Dac, an iPad mini (With JRemote) a 4T hard drive networked with a Rg45 to a rootter.

JRiver works very well, so communication with the network works. But I'm trying to figure out why my iPad mini does not want to connect to my network to communicate with the LapTop.

Is the key changed during the update (I do not know how to find it in JRiver)

Or there is a problem with the Laptop firewall ?

I found it !!!!

When I made the uploads 19-20-21, the access key remained the same.
But with JRiver 24, the key did not follow. So I had to ask JRiver to redo a new key and then activate JRemote with the new key.

                     Thank you
