none of this makes any sense. apparently you have more memory on your e drive! how is this possible and NOW you provide info about start-up.
This is quite normal. I do this all the time on my systems to keep the system partition simple and make data migration and re-imaging simpler.
If I disable the automatic update, and perform a manual search for updates and subsequently a download, the following update fails. Some 'JRTools' will not load. See attached error message.
I think it is possible your installation has become confused. I'd recommend the following:
1. Make a Library Backup, so you can restore your settings and Library after this process.
2. Uninstall MC24 entirely.
3. Reboot. Do not skip this step.
4. Reinstall MC24 manually, and make sure to put it on your E: drive as desired. You can use a slightly older build if you want to be able to quickly test the auto-updater (and not have to wait a week or so for a new build to come out).
I'm not positive, but I suspect that
might fix your issue.
