I'm often tinkering around with settings in JRiver. Then, today, I discovered 'DSD in DoP format' (Audio>Settings>DSP and output format, under the heading Output Format) and Wow! the music really jumped out of the speakers (playing Duke Robillard Band at the moment), Fortunately, I have a DSD capable DAC, so this seems to work. The DAC shows up that it is processing DSD, or it thinks it is, or whatever. Just playing ripped ALAC files through it. Anyway...give it a try and tell us what you think!
