[REQ] Exclude IPC from "jump on play" rules
« on: May 15, 2018, 08:39:36 am »

Now that I've got SoundSpectrum G-Force working on the 64-bit version of Media Center, I set "jump on play" to switch to Display View automatically when audio starts playing.
This works well, except that it also happens when the WDM driver starts as it's a global setting rather than a per-zone setting.

The WDM driver is typically used for background audio, so it would be preferable if it was excluded since it covers the screen.
The player also seems very prone to crashing if G-Force is used with the WDM driver - I think it's the rate at which Media Center kills/restarts the connection when you do things like seeking through web content (every time you do, it drops and restarts the connection).

I think this would be useful too. I guess this would either be a per zone setting (for those of us that use a WDM zone) or would be an option to exclude IPC from all jump on play rules? Both would work for me.
