Constant licence renewals

I'm running MC on debian testing and it seems to be repeatedly asking for a licence renewal on each and every upgrade (it might even be on reboot with the latest version)
system is up to date, MC is 24.0.32, date/time is accurate and it is not an intel system, it's an amd (ryzen) box.

seems a rather noisy startup to say the least, not sure if this is expected behaviour, seems odd to me

Try the latest beta, 24.0.32-4
You'll need to enter the license one more time but that should take care of it.

I was actually already running 32-4 but thought I had rebooted once already since installing, obviously not!

So does rebooting it NOW lose the license?

the licence was retained after reboot so all seems well now
