Incorrect in/out audio path on SACD
« on: July 22, 2018, 12:31:33 pm »

This question stumped me so any help is appreciated (client prefers Bit Perfect audio).

I think the question is a odd one, but my version of JRiver 24 when playing SACD  displays the incorrect setting/values  on both the input and output in the tools audio path display.

For example the music file is  2822400 Hz 1bit, but JRiver shows 352.8 kHz 64bit on the Input with no changes then 352.8 kHz 32bit (not enough bits to output directly).

I understand the bit rate change since it max out at 32 bits on my driver for my McIntosh d1100, but I can't put my finger on why the Hz change to a completely different number with SACD only. Everything else I put through it plays bit perfect without an issue. My friend has a different setup that displays the correct values, with the only different being the different model McIntosh.

My JRiver 23 ran the same SACD files without the change, so I was wondering what setting do I need to set to fix this? If possible.

Try enabling DSD bitstreaming.
