The other day I upgraded my MC license to 24 (from 18 - been a while).
I have been using another Program on Windows to mainly play Radio Stations plus some albums - but wasn't
convinced with the sound reproduction.
My god - the difference with MC - the sound quality is *incredible*. Anyway ...
I've been playing around with the Streaming - with a view to managing online Radio Stations.
This other Program I have been using does a fairly good job of managing stations but the audio isn't great.
What I'd love to see is MC handle online Radio Stations much better - with the amazing sound quality MC has, it would be
total winner in this space.
(I live in Melbourne, Australia, so ... )
Today I added Public Radio PBS - from this page :

The sound was amazing - but the management of the Station adding process was not so great.
For example, some ideas :
- Allow to add folders
- Allow to associate an icon with a station
- When I used the above 'mp3' address for the website, when i played the station all I got was an empty page.
- There was no way for me to add the new station on the Streaming 'summary' page where all the icons show up.
In addition, some stations I tried to add did not add correctly / work at all :
eg. ABC Radio National :

http://radio.abc.net.au/stationsWhat would happen when I used the 'live-radio' URL was an 'open file' dialogue would appear and not go away (never load).
Nothing would play either.
I really believe that adding a strong Internet Radio functionality would be a big win for MC.
I find myself listening to a large number of stations at different times - with complete flexibility.
We could even share stations via your AWS Server. Would be terrific.
I'll be interested to read your thoughts on this.
