recording show with jriver
« on: September 20, 2018, 12:23:40 am »

does jriver let you record only the new shows of a TV series or does it just record all the shows for that TV series? I'm thinking about getting the homerun prime but want to know how jriver handles TV series recordings.

JRiver Media Center handles TV Series recordings very, very well.

It can record all Episodes of a Series, or just Episodes not marked as Repeats, or just Episodes that it hasn't recorded before... or all Episodes in Season x or above, or below, or perhaps above Season x and also Season 1, or... it is rules-based, and it can be used in as many ways as you can think of, if your EPG data has the necessary information.

Lots of people use a HDHomeRun Prime with MC.

Seriously, read the Wiki TV topics (although some will be old and maybe no longer relevant - check their update history), and search around the forum a bit. Then get the free trial and get started.
