Convert Flac to MP3

I try to convert FLAC files to MP3 files and JRiver seems to do it but it does not really convert them. Nor can I rip a CD to MP3 format. It's as if the JRiver did not have that encoding

you need to tell MC what to do....tools>options>burning.... choose some options here. then go to tools>options> cd dvd & bd....choose more options here

Go to tools>options>encoding and choose the encoder you want to use from the drop down list. Why you would want to rip CDs to mp3 is a bit of a puzzle to me, but everyone to their own.
