Just change the link number up there of the download to 45...
replace mediacenter to 24.0.45, all working good now shutting it down the 3 ways (cmd q, red button, menu quit)

If I use the Check Updates in MC it does not find MC 24.0.56. I says 24.0.53 is the latest version?

Which update channel are you on? As I see it, there's two possibilities...

1) You're on the stable channel, and 24.0.56 would be in the latest channel, so checking for updates wouldn't 'see' 24.0.56 unless you switch to the latest channel.

2) If you're on the latest channel and it doesn't 'see' 24.0.56, then there's a chance that the devs haven't pushed 24.0.56 to the latest channel yet. If that's the case, you'd have to manually download and install it.
