Diacritical marks box keeps popping up [Solved by updating MC]

Whenever I type in a word that has two same letters in sequence (e.g. "moon") the diacritical box will pop up. In windows, you have to long press a letter to eventually get that box to pop up. Is this a feature in the Linux version or actually a bug? It just gets in way all the time and is rather annoying.

This issue was fixed several versions ago (I think in 24.0.37); are you running the latest version?

I think I installed the "stable" release at the time. So probably not? Will check later when I get home, though. thanks.
