Restore of license is NOT staying licensed

Hello all,
Love the software with one caveat. When I restore the license, it doesn't remain licensed. It works for what seems to be the same as the trial period and then expires or invalidates. I have this on 2 Ubuntu 18.04 machines. one being a home theater and the other this laptop.When I acquire the new registration license, I save it from the email. Open the folder where it is saved and double click on it. a second later it states that it is successful.  Both  machines are kept up to date. I always go to the menu and check under Help / Registration info and it states that it is licensed to me. I assume that I am missing something or doing something wrong. Any ideas, anyone?

Make sure you're using the latest 24.0.52 build. If you're using an older build, it *could* potentially lose the registration when Ubuntu pushes kernel updates, which has been fixed in the newest builds.
