After Audirvana version 3.5 crashed again yesterday on my new M1 Mac mini, I downloaded JRiver Media Center 29 for a trial. As far as I can determine from a quick glance, JRiver has found all the music folders on my Mac mini and organized them as I like. All of the artwork seems to be correct. At some point, I might point JRiver to the music folders on my NAS, but think that keeping things simple at the beginning makes more sense. Yesterday, JRiver refused to play any of my music files. Today, JRiver plays them, but I can't hear them.
I have not been able to get JRiver to recognize the iFi Zen Stream, which is connected to a Benchmark DAC2 HGC, which is connected to headphones. Audirvana could see the Zen Stream in setting 1, so I never bothered with setting 5. JRiver does not see the Zen Stream in either setting 1 or setting 5. I have an access key, but no idea what to do with it. I set up a user name and password under "Authentication," but don't understand why those are needed either. Audirvana didn't require the use of passwords.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
