pause has delay (not instant)
« on: October 14, 2018, 04:14:09 pm »

Greetings,

Windows version:
24.0.55 (64 bit)

When I pause a song, it is not instant.  It plays on for, perhaps, ½ second.
This was the case with the previous version of Media Center (which I do not have the version, because it just did a minor version auto-update today).

But older versions (not too long ago), had no delay.

Note that muting (Ctrl-M) is instant, which is how pause used to be.

I cannot find an option to make pausing a song instant.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Just tried this and pause is pretty much instantaneous for me. 24.0.56 You need to go to tools > options > audio and under Stop, Seek & skip select the pause type you want - immediate, fast fade etc.

By default the pause command will fade a little.

It's fully configurable in Options > Audio > Stop, Seek & Skip > Pause

So just pick "Immediate" if that's what you prefer.

That worked.

I am, once again, a happy camper!

Thank you.

For the record, the "fade out pause" that is the default is very aesthetically pleasing to me and several other people I've demonstrated it to.  It's really nice that it can be changed, but the default is quite good for some of us.
