Buffering Problem
« on: October 24, 2018, 02:41:15 pm »

I am experiencing what I believe a buffering issues while streaming 24bit music file from my home server to my office using JRiver. It appears as though it buffers the first song, then plays. Then, about 20 seconds later the song stops and buffers again from 0 to 100%. This repeats every 20-30 seconds. Could it be buffering each album track in the playlist? If so, why would the current playing track stop each time it does this?!

Could just be a bandwidth problem somewhere.

I did think of that. But I recently upgraded service at home & the office to 330 down, 20 up. Technically it shouldn't be an issue. That doesn't mean it isn't though. I'm unsure how to trouble shoot this.....

Maybe you can install a TeamViewer at home, and measure the file transfer speed sending one of relatively big files to your TeamViewer client (in the office)

I have the same problem, only with jriver: if I use Foobar or another sw it does not happen. I solved with external usb HD linked at my pc player.
