Transfer MC9 to New Computer?
« on: May 28, 2003, 07:37:42 am »

I apologize in advance because I know that I have seen the answer to this question before, but cannot seem to find it on the board.

I purchased Media Center 9 a few months ago and have been running it on my current computer. I ordered a new pc yesterday and when it arrives in a few days, I want to use MC9 on that.

I have my registration code, is there anything else that I need besides that?

Thanks.

I have one related question.  How about using MC9 from 2 computers?  I have one for play and another for rip and encoding.  Is it possible to run MC9 simultaneously?  Or need to run only one of them?  Or cannot install into 2 machines with 1 license?

I checked license page, but couldn't find answers.  Let me know what I should do.  I just want to know before the purchase.  Thank you.

not on the same computer

You can install MC9 on more than one of your own computers.

you just need to use the restore from the web and use one of your 10 re-stores or use the downloaded keys (that expires in 14 days)
