Update version for Apple MacBook

Hi, need your advice. I have been using Media Center program for tango DJ-ing in the period from 2012-2016. Have Mediacenter 18 version. Then it was a gap. Now I renew my activity. How shall I update my program? Is it stable now, as I had some unexpected stop during dj-ing in 2014-2015?
