MC crashing immediately [SOLVED] (Mojave and less than latest MC24)

(1/3) > >>

Mike Foran:
I was over at my Brother's, attempting to install MC on his Mac. Upon launch, MC would flash a window for about 1/100th of a second and then crash. I'm at a loss as to why but I copied the crash dump. It is in the attached file. Any ideas as to what's going on here?

soucalcole:
Running a Mac with Mohave (current update), JRiver 23; when I try to install I get the flash on the screen and error msg ". . .  quit unexpectedly".  I've tried deleting all JRiver files, restarting the computer and trying again - several times.  The link provided in reply to this original question is no longer valid apparently - tho' I am registered user, tells me it is not available or not available to me.

Apparently there is a known solution posted under the 24 thread but if so, I can't find it via the provided link.

thanks, first lines of the error  message follow:

Awesome Donkey:
Give me a few minutes to boot into my Mac partition and I'll post a tutorial.

Awesome Donkey:
Open Mac's System Preferences. From there go to Security & Privacy > Privacy tab.

Click on Accessibility, then press the lock button on the bottom left, input your password when prompted to unlock the settings.

Finally (once you unlock it and can make changes) make sure your Media Center 23 app is checked. Like this example with Media Center 24...

That *should* do it.

You Da Man!
Thanks
