Is setting a global and persistent columns layout possible?

After trying to find a solution in the Wiki or the board, I came up empty with a solution that actually works between MC sessions.

Is it possible to set all columns' sizes and order (and which ones are visible and which ones are not) for all views, that actually remain exactly as I set them, even when closing and opening MC again?

Whatever I do, they always seem to revert back to some arrangement that I did already change, especially when switching between different views (Artist, Genre, Album, etc.)

But from what I have learned about MC in my first 36hrs with it, *everything* is possible in this amazing piece of software.
