Media Center 24 creates new versions of itself: MC 25, MC 26, MC 27, MC 28
(1/1)
Pparsons:
Since the beginning of November, I think, I got notification that there was an update to MC and when I went to install it several things happened: it created additional application folders each time - MC 25, MC 26, MC 27, MC 28; when I tried to open the MC25 app, it opened as a version of MC 24. Obviously, there are no available versions beyond MC 24 that I know of, but it’s odd that this occurred right around the time that I was notified of the breach. Anyone else have something like this happen on their Mac version? I’m on OS X El Capitan.
Awesome Donkey:
Is the Media Center 24 app installed in the Applications folder (by dragging and dropping the Media Center 24 app into the Applications folder after opening the .dmg file)? When updates are downloaded, do you drag the updated Media Center 24 app into the Applications folder too, overriding the existing app? Are you making sure Media Center (along with Media Server if you're using it) is closed completely before doing the update?
