OPPO BD105D
« on: December 04, 2018, 07:22:43 am »

Hello,

Apologies in advance if I'm asking a stupid question!

Just downloaded JRiver to test.
But, I'm having a problem even before testing it and this is it:

From reading the JRiver Wiki, I know that I have to first see whether the test sounds from my ASUS ZenBook laptop can be played back on my device of choice which happens to be OPPO BD105D to use in renderer mode in my home theatre system.

FYG the OPPO is connected to the router via ethernet cable. My ZenBook connects wirelessly with the same router.
I can see the OPPO in JRiver under player.

As part of my test, I transferred one of my music albums to a usb stick and imported its contents to the JRiver library. The usb stick is plugged in to my ASUS.

However, when I go to the Windows (10) Sound playback tab, I cannot see the OPPO as a playback device. I can only see the Realtek speakers of my laptop.

So what have I not done to get the OPPO recognised as a playback device?

Many thanks
