headphone output on laptop

please can anyone help??

Using MC21 on a HP laptop. With all other music applications I use (eg Spotify), plugging headphones into the jack mutes the sound of the laptop's internal speakers and routes it to the phones. However, when playing music from MC, plugging in the jack has no effect, music continues from the internal speakers with no output to the phones.

In MC's audio setup, you can change the device setting.
