[Solved] Sync Leaving Album Art File Behind
« on: December 03, 2018, 09:19:22 pm »

I have noticed a lot of Folder.jpg & folder artifacts left behind when tracks are removed from source sync playlists and not getting cleaned up on destination target media.

folder.jpg is my default for all album art.

My sync options checked:
  • Delete from handheld any files not in sync list.
  • Save cover art to 'Folder.jpg' file

Appears the music tracks are being removed however the folder path is remaining. I have highlighted the files left in an empty folder where tracks are deleted.

[Solved] Re: Sync Leaving Album Art File Behind

Found the cause and resolution. Not sure it is User Error and not testing or not... but I will accept a duh for not doing more due diligence.  :-[

This behavior occurs when Handheld>File, Paths & More>Save cover art to "Folder.jpg' file is checked.

When an Album is deleted from the Playlist the artwork is left behind and not removed on resync.

Unchecking this features deletes the Album folder in it's entirety on resync.
