Skip BPM during analyze audio
« on: May 27, 2003, 04:06:02 pm »

this is a feature request... although if somebody has an easy workaround, i'd love to hear it.

it seems to me that the BPM number that gets filled in during Analyze Audio is a hit-or-miss thing. so, what i've been doing is replacing all the values with "?" and then filling them in manually on an as-needed basis. since i'm using MC for live DJing, the BPM values really help... but they are pretty useless if i can't rely on them.

so, it'd be nice to have the option to set which fields (BPM, Intensity, Peak Level, Replay Gain) got set during Analyze Audio. since i'm analyzing when i rip, i would just turn off the BPM... rather than having to remember to go back in a remove the BPM values so i don't get confused as to which ones i manually set and which were automatically set.

oh...and... MC rocks. i finally got around to getting a 2nd sound card and playing with multiple zones.
